We recommend Shield Windows very highly. We had them replace 16 new triple paned windows in our house, as well as replace 19 triple paned pieces of glass in old frames. We did a lot of research and got several quotes before making a decision. We thought Shield and their Duxton windows provided the best overall value, taking quality and price into account. Shield also did the complete job, windows, glass replacement, and drywall work, rather than leaving us to split the work up. We were very happy with our decision.Shield was a pleasure to work with, from quotes, advice, and installation to cleanup. The workmen were not only competent and efficient but nice people to have working in the house. And the windows are wonderful, making a noticeable difference to our house in warm weather and cold.As a result, shortly afterward, we decided to have Shield install new front and rear Duxton doors and look forward to the upgrade they will make to our house. We had our windows replaced last fall and found that the new windows were excellent for keeping heat in over the winter. This summer was a real test because it has been so hot, but the house is also cooler with all the windows shut. We are very happy with the purchase. The work was done professionally and the people who installed the windows were efficient and careful. The trim around the windows also had to be redone and the job was excellent. The price was reasonable - certainly competitive with other companies. We went with Shield because they were local. We would not hesitate to recommend Shield Windows & Doors to our friends.

The team at Shield were amazing. We replaced massive windows on the second story of our house. It was not an easy install but the got it done! The wait time between ordering and getting the windows was longer than expected but in the world we are currently living in with the supply chain issues out there it was understandable. We would reccomend Shield to anyone looming to replace their windows, especially larger windows where vinyl is not an option. The fiberglass framed triple pane windows shield provided are perfect!

We chose Duxton Windows and Doors to replace a large picture window, an existing bow window in our kitchen and front door c/w a opening sidelite in our 40 year old home. The Shield team did an excellent job installing these items. Even though there were delays in the delivery we are very pleased with the overall quality of the Duxton product compared to many others we researched.

We had old solid steel doors double doors that let in a lot of drafts and no light into the front entrance. We wanted a change to a door that stopped the cold coming in and also let in the natural sunlight into the front entrance. We phoned Shield Windows and Doors for a quote and they came as scheduled to get and provide information. After the whole process of signing a contract it took a while for the door to come in due to the pandemic and supply chain issues, but when it came, it was exactly what we thought it would be. The colour is beautiful and it let in all the light we wanted. Installation was done professionally, quickly, and beautifully by the crew (Dave and Poul were helping all along the way). Clean up was done nicely and they also took away all the old junk so I didn't have too. All the drafts are gone with a good spray foam and caulking job, and we can see with all the nice light coming in. There was a small dent on the inside of the window frame from shipping and is being dealt with by Shield. Great service and install from beginning to end, highly recommend them to anyone!

David and Poul at Shield Windows were great to work with!David was very thorough in answering all of our questions leading up to the purchase and installation of our new triple pane windows. Our house had some very old single pane aluminum windows that were essentially just keeping the wind out. David set us up with new windows that would also take advantage of the green energy rebates available to us.Poul and his installation crew were super professional and tidy and even took care to delicately remove without damaging some backsplash tiles for our kitchen window replacement.
